The Oregon Convention Center is pleased to announce Charlie White as its new Guest Services Manager.
White comes to the OCC from Portland’5, where he served as Admissions Manager. Before that, White served two years as the Manager of Guest Services for the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. He has also worked for the Washington Nationals, where he managed their guest services team for games and events.
“Charlie comes with a wealth of guest services knowledge and extensive experience working with events of every size and type,” says Erin Jepson, OCC Director of Events. “We’re facing a very busy event season, and I know he’ll prove to be a great addition to our team.”
White will oversee the installation of a brand new self-pay parking system, designed to help visitors exit the OCC garage as quickly and efficiently as possible. The system is expected to be in place by early 2017.
He will also manage all on-site ticket offices and event ticketing services, as well as the volunteer program, which provides visitor information during events.
“I intend to place an even greater emphasis on customer service in all these areas,” says White, “to add the finishing touch to every great guest experience.”
The Oregon Convention Center is owned by Metro and managed by the Metro Exposition and Recreation Commission. OCC is a LEED Platinum certified facility hosting groups from around the world and bringing millions of dollars into the Portland and Oregon economy.
